More than 260 young musicians took part in the Niskayuna School District's Orchestra Festival earlier this week.

The high school orchestra, high school chamber strings and the three middle school orchestras all performed Wednesday evening at the high school.

Joining them as a special guest conductor was Helen Cha-Pyo, music director of the Empire State Youth Orchestra. Students had a chance to work with Cha-Pyo, who has conducted orchestras around the world, in small workshops leading up to the festival.
