John Furey and Carol White receive 2012 Murray Award | Schools

On Friday, June 1, Physical Education Teacher John Furey and English Teacher Carol White of Niskayuna High School were selected as the recipients of the 2012 Murray Award for Excellence in Education.

The criteria for receiving this award included outstanding classroom practices as well as growth potential and a school presence that inspires and positively impacts students, colleagues, and the community. The award is an annual opportunity to select educators that represent the excellence of the high school staff and educational program.

Recipients received a ceremony and $2,500 for the professional development activity of each recipients’ choice.
