SCHENECTADY - Subway celebrated its grand reopening at 1478 State Street in Schenectady with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Chamber of Schenectady County on April 10.

The new Subway is open Monday through Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

SCHENECTADY - Dunkin’ Donuts will celebrate the grand opening of its newest Capital Region restaurant at 300 Wayto Road in Schenectady with a ribbon cutting and giveaways for guests on Tuesday, March 5at 11 a.m. Following is more information:

The new location employs 20 associates and is open daily from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.  It is 1,400 square feet and seats 18 people.  The new restaurant features a modern look that provides a fresh, friendly, vibrant, and engaging environment for guests.  Complete with a warm interior color palette, the restaurant also offers comfortable guest seating and atmospheric lighting.  Additionally, the restaurant has a drive-thru for faster service.

ALBANY – State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced on Tuesday that Price Chopper has agreed to pay a $100,000 fine for misleading consumers when it came to coupons.

Price Chopper says that despite signing the agreement they are not admitting any intentional wrongdoing.  

The agreement follows an investigation into complaints that Price Chopper failed to disclose restrictions on double coupons.  The attorney general’s office says the grocery store chain advertised that it accepted double coupons without explaining a policy to limit them “up to 99 cents.”

“In the current economy, it is more important than ever that consumers be presented with clear information about the terms and conditions of coupons and other sale offers," Schneiderman said in a statement. "Today’s agreement ensures that consumers will be protected from misleading advertising at these stores in the future."
