The Arthritis Foundation of Northeastern New York will offer a training course for instructors in their exercise program.

The one day training course will take place on Monday, May 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Wynwood located at 1786 Union Street in Niskayuna.

Participants must attend the entire training to be eligible as a certified instructor. The training will be conducted by Master Trainer, Mari Brick who is the associate director of the Center for Excellence in Aging and Community Wellness in Albany.

The cost will be $225 and this includes a training fee, training manual and lunch. A recertification fee will be offered for $50 and those who are recertifying must go to the entire day as well.

According to a statement, the exercise program is a low-impact physical activity program proven to reduce pain and decrease stiffness. The routines include gentle range-of-motion exercises for every fitness level.
